On Canada Day, it's a pleasure to celebrate one of Canada's most admired Interior Designers, Sarah Richardson. Her interiors are consistently Fresh and inviting. Her palette is neutral with a sense of adventure. With 4 television shows, a weekly column in a National Paper, a product line and showroom, she is also one of the busiest designers in this incredible industry.
.
This ocean front property is a wonderful reflection of Sarah's signature style. Creamy whites, fabulous floral prints and punches of colour perfectly balanced by light, furniture and fixtures. The kitchen is magnificent with it's endless storage, and abundant work surface. She has a wonderul sense of luxury, balance and scale, giving this home a state of relaxed Opulence.

Have a Safe & Happy Canada Day!

How lovely, I adore Canada and now there is something else to like about it.
ReplyDeleteI like her attention to detail from the twin chaises for 2 - it's good to share :) to the display of straw hats on the wall, ready to fling on and off for the beach.
What a beautiful home! I am still reeling from the Italian villa you posted yesterday. I checked their website and am ready to pack my bags!
ReplyDeleteI love Sarah's work and I think her shows are some of the few really good design shows on TV!! And I love that crystal chandelier. I just used it in one of my projects that was recently photographed!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Post!
I don't think Sarah has ever designed a room that I didn't like!!
ReplyDeleteI see a bit of a trend with her use of two chaises -- in the picture you posted, in the living room in her cottage, and in her own home.
Love the backsplash in the kitchen, the chandelier, and the gray sofa.
Happy Canada Day!! Hope you had some sunshine :-)

I love Sarah. They play her shows on Fine Living in the States & I saw Design Inc first. Then when they started her first series I almost gasped at her transformation from sweet to chic.
ReplyDeleteThe twin chaises are so squishy good.
I've always admired Sarah Richardson's work and think I've seen almost all her shows on HGTV. The photo above with the modern crystal hanging light fixture really caught my eye as I've not seen it used in more traditional settings like this one. Thanks for sharing the photos and for stopping by. I hope you're having more sunshine in Canada than we've had down here! Deborah
