I don't know if it's because the winter months are quickly upon us, or if I am just feeling a little nostalgic, but I can't stop thinking of sinking into a plush velvet sofa. Frank Roop works with plenty of velvet in his interiors, and they are incredibly inviting, as well as strikingly stylish. The soft texture and sheen, give colours depth that blends beautifully in any setting.

Velvet is just so luxurious and you're right, it's especially inviting this time of year. That first piece is exquisite. I would love it for my new house! Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have a huge, fat, tufted reading chair in my library that is upholstered in a delicious floral velvet. Oh. So. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am having the same feeling. Any idea where to find the velvet pillows (Frank Roop)? Or were they custom?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing as always!

I have a vintage sofa that we had re-upholstered in green velvet years ago and it has gotten better with age. I love reading there with my daughter.
