European Escapes: La Bastide de Marie
This heavenly escape, La Bastide de Marie, is located in Menerbes, France of the Provence Region. It is the location of the photo shoot Marion Cotillard was featured in for July Vogue. If you dare to explore this place, I guarantee you will be transported to a place of peace and tranquility. The 18th century building is set upon gardens of lilac lavender, olive and lemon trees. Surrounded by 24 hectares of vineyards, It invites you to experience the true essence of Provence.
Each room is designed in balance with it's surrounding nature. Warm tones of spring summer and fall, antiques, and plenty of wrought iron beds, tables and chairs add to the character and charm. Canopy beds with soft floral bedding and exposed stone walls are absolutely breathtaking. The Main Lounge ( with Fireplace) offers exceptional views of the vineyards. Rates range fro 450 to 780 Euros per person per night, and include 3 exquisite meals, aperitifs and regional wines. Did I mention they have a spa? Yes. A full service indoor outdoor spa. Now all we have to do it get there!

ReplyDelete* Hi AGAIN n' THANKS for the sweet note here... JUST got back from the dentist n' HAD to write to tell you I really D*I*D think of these pics/this incredible place, while I spent over 2 hours "in the chair" (& "I didn't even get kissed first"!!!...If you don't know what that means, ask your hubby, my friend!... Grins n' mischevious giggles!)~~~
ReplyDeleteI was VIRTUALLY THERE, Vie!!!... I'm SOOO serious! Jim, "dawg Belle" n' I were all cuddled up in front of that EXQUISITE, WELCOMING fireplace, just "chillin'" in the nicest way... We "walked" the grounds, "smelled" the beauty presented before us, and simply ENJOYED taking in all of this oh-so-beautiful "place"!... Then, WHAM!!! My 2 hours in the chair was over, & I actually felt REFRESHED from the lil' nap I UNintentionally took while dreaming of being "here".... AGAIN Vie, "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you"!!!
Blessings, my friend!
