Travel Plans

The countdown is on, and I just can't tell you how excited I am to be a participant on this incredible tour of the London Design Scene.  There are daily tweets and email updates about the endless people to meet  places to see, and of course, objects to admire.  Between work, and getting the kids sorted for school, I am feeling a little guilty sending updates to my husband about all the cool things I am about to experience. I owe him the biggest Thank You, because he was totally supportive about finding a way to make this happen.

If you haven't checked out the Modenus site yet, you should.  It's a happy little place on the net for the design savvy to connect, be inspired, and source beautiful products from around the world.  I had no idea how enriched my personal and professional life would become as a result of blogging. Let me tell you that it is because of real people behind great brands that I have had the opportunity to get out there and forge some great friendships.  Locally, the Canadian Design Blogger Meetups have been a great way to gain mutual support from brands and bloggers, and having the opportunity to do the same internationally, is a true honor. Here are just a few of the people I am looking forward to connecting with.

The bloggers!!
The Modenus team included...

The Sponsors!

The breathtaking world of Natural Stone from Lapicida.

Distinguished bathroom and architectural hardware of Samuel Heath.

Indulgent elegant baths by Victoria + Albert

The ultimate spa retreat by Mr. Steam

Beautiful sinks by Blanco!

So excited to see this Canadian company, with their exquisite hardware collections, Duverre!

Luxury and craftsmanship in handmade beds by, And So To Bed.

This sponsor was just announced, and I wanted to make sure they had their spot on this post!
Luxury Vinyl flooring from Amtico!

The Hotel!

Coolest accommodations ever from Citizen M

The Charity!

Not technically a sponsor, but a great cause that is sponsoring a Night Hike of London.
(How fun is that ?)  Maggie's Cancer Centers. is an organization that partners with world renowned architects to build cancer support centers.

You'll be getting a generous dose of coverage of #BlogTour London in the coming weeks.  It'll be really interesting to see how design in Europe differs from ours.

  1. This is going to be amazing!! i have not been to london for years but am planning to attend the Rolls Royce event in which i am participating on December 20th... will take note from your trip as to where to go!
i am off to france to morrow to maisons et Objets and will once again live my husband behind... after all these years, he is quite accustomed to it, I am very lucky in that sense that he has never minded my work or adventure travels that have taken me away from the family...
